David Pidgeon is a supply chain and operations leader based in Jacksonville, Florida. Over more than 15 years, he has worked across medical device, life sciences, and industrial manufacturing, in organizations ranging from a startup he co-founded to divisions with more than $1 billion in revenue.

Career

David began his career as a chemical engineer, managing capital projects and process improvement across a national manufacturing network. He moved into production leadership, where he led a 135-person remanufacturing operation through a turnaround that improved labor efficiency by more than 10 percent, raised first-pass yield by 8 percent, and cut recordable injuries by 85 percent. The team went on to win a company manufacturing excellence award.

From there, he built and led planning organizations through several major SAP implementations, centralized master production planning for a large institutional division, and introduced S&OP at companies that had never used it.

Most recently, David has led end-to-end operations for medical device manufacturers, covering manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and planning. His work there included starting up an in-house clean room manufacturing facility that reached full production within six months, implementing inventory planning software, and leading operational integration of an acquisition.
